After entering the off ramp too fast, a tractor trailer goes over the railing and lands on its wheel after dropping approximately 80 feet to the marshy ground.  The only access to the truck was from the viaduct.
Upon arrival 3 members of the Rescue Squads Technical Team repelled down to the driver to begin patient care.

Repelling over the railing was the only access to the patient due to the marshy area where the truck landed.

After the arrival of the North Charleston Fire Department, a ladder was put in place to allow Charleston County Paramedic access to the patient.
Patient is packaged and it was decided to use the North Charleston Fire Department Truck 2's basket as an anchor to lift the driver.  Technical Team members prepare for the lift as a Charleston County Paramedic  and a Fire Fighter looks on.
(Notice the red paint?)
Rigging is almost ready and the extraction is about to begin.
Patient is being raised to awaiting EMS Paramedic on the viaduct.

And yes we know Kenny forgot his helmet!
