TECHNICAL RESCUE TEAM
The Technical Rescue Team of the Rescue Squad is made up of members who are participates of other award winning Emergency Response Teams, such as MeadWestvaco and Mt. Pleasant Water Works ERT.  Both of which have competed nationally and have repeatedly take home championships awards.

Rescue Squad Members prepare to hoist a jumper from Drum Island after he jumped and missed the water.
Technical rescue Team members assist EMS in the removal of a 550lb lady from a manufactured home in North Charleston, Rescue 8 Was used to remove her.
Rescue 8 is used again to remove another overweight lady with respiratory problems.
Several Rope Rescue Team members from area agencies attended a CSR course taught by Univ. of Alabama
Up and Over Exercise using Airbags, Cribbing and Shoring.
September 2004 - the Rescue Squad purchased a 24 foot Auto trailer to support their USAR program.  This trailer in conjunction with Rescue 8  bring an extensive cache of specialized rescue equipment to an emergency scene such as a building or floor collapse.
