SQUAD RECEIVES NEW DIVE-RESCUE WATER CRAFT

"RESCUE BOAT 65"

Boat to be stationed in Awendaw and manned by the Rescue Squad and the Awendaw Fire Dept

This new 19 foot boat, built by Zumro, is powered by a 75 HP Mercury motor with full trim and tilt, prop guard, dual marine battery's, a floor hatch in the bow for diver and body recovery.  Also has a seat cushion that doubles as a throw device, shown on the left side of the floor.

The console features an on-board Garmin GPS with mapping and sounder system.  An Intrepid VHF Marine Radio, as well as an 800Mhz radio.  Hand held 750kp Spot/Flood light hard wired into console.  And a lighted liquid filled compass.

On the transom bar is a Federal Light Bar,  Navigation Lights, and Antennas.  Wrapped around the boat are handles for divers or for people being rescued to hang on to prior to getting into the boat.
