The new Viaduct Marina, Marina (below) was under several feet of water, to the point it was no longer a navigational hazard.  Charleston County Boats are being launched at what was the grassy hill at the park (right).
Asset from Charleston County Responded to assist Horry County, SC, following flooding brought on by Hurricane Floyd.  The rivers crested at about 20 feet above normal river levels.   Charleston County agencies and departments responding included; Charleston County Rescue Squad, Emergency Preparedness, Communications, EMS, Public Works, and  Mosquito Abatement.
Charleston County Rescue Air 20 is in back ground.  Boats were used to patrol the rivers and perform rescues of people who refused to leave and then changed their minds as water flooded second the second floor of their homes.
