The Charleston County Rescue Squad Swiftwater / Flood Rescue Team has been established as of July 2005 at the direction of Chief Bobby Herbert.
The Team Members are trained to the Operations and Technician Level in compliance with NFPA 1670.
At present the Swiftwater and Flood Response Team as Thirtyone (31) personnel trained to the Awareness Level (1), Operations Level (13) and Technical Level (6) and One (1) Instructor.
It is also a goal to have all Dive Team and Marine Team members trained as a minimum to the Awareness Level by the end of the Summer 2005.
