North Charleston, S.C. - A motorcyclist was thrown from his Honda Motor Hawk at the North Rhett off-ramp of I-526 approximately 40 feet onto the ground below Saturday evening.  The accident occurred in a curved section of the off-ramp after the driver lost control.  The North Charleston Fire Department ,Charleston County Volunteer Rescue and Charleston County EMS used a Ladder/Platform truck to rig a low angle hauling system to retrieve the driver to an awaiting ambulance.  The driver was transported to the Medical University Hospital with apparent non-life threatening injuries.
